Hill running 1:17:58 [2] 7.52 mi (10:22 / mi) +700m 8:03 / mi

Recce of the commonwealth champs route from Llanberis with most of the scottish team. A mile of road to start then a nice grassy ridge with some steep bits. Pushed hard on the climb as the legs felt quite good. Really fast grassy descent then another short steep climb before heading back in to the town. Will hopefully get on the team for this race.

Hill running race (Snowdon) 1:07:35 [5] 9.45 mi (7:09 / mi) +1000m 5:23 / mi

3rd place. Not a brilliant run but can't complain. Was quite warm so started steady but couldn't get much quicker. Felt good near the top when we got in to the cool mist. Descended quite well but was nowhere near catching. Ran the whole race on my own which didn't help either. Murray had a brilliant run and lead the team to 1st place for the first time in ages.

Steady jog then in to the lake.

Through hill of banchory, round crathes then back on the railway. Put in a few fast miles early on to check the legs were working then eased off slightly.

Hill running 1:15:03 [3] 10.08 mi (7:27 / mi) +630m 6:14 / mi

3 climbs of scolty with slow downhills and some fast bits on the climbs. Did 3 x 90s hill reps after that then a few fast efforts on the way home to get the legs moving. Felt pretty tired to begin with
