A few climbs of scolty and goauch. Was pretty muddy with a sprinkling of snow on the top. No trouble from the calf which is good. Felt quite tired, think an easy week might be needed.

Along the south bank of the dee from banchory then through shooting greens. Calf tightened up after 4 miles which was annoying, wasn't too bad so ran through it and did some massaging when I got back.

4 climbs of scolty. Did lots of foam roller stuff last night and the legs felt much better until I ran on some tarmac on the strachan side of scolty. Calfs tightened up but eventually got better when I got on the hill again. Seems like my legs don't like tarmac which is bad since next weekend is the inverness half.

8 x 1km, 70s recovery jog. Round the circular road at burnett park. Felt good and did a hard session, slight breeze but not too bad. Its probably one of the only sessions I've thought was actually as fast I should be running. Times were 3.03, 3.00, 3.00, 3.00, 2.55, 2.57, 2.58, 2.57

Corsee woods out and back. Was going to do scolty but was getting a bit dark so will leave it for tomorrow. Calfs started feeling very tight in the last 5 mins, need to do some roller exercises
