Hill running race 1:23:57 [5] 12.03 mi (6:59 / mi) +650m 5:59 / mi

Deuchary hill race. Lots of fast running with a few tough climbs and varied terrain. Managed to open a gap on Matt Sullivan and win by 2mins 30, course record by a few mins as well. Didn't feel great on the steep bits after the race the day before. It was also roasting hot so had to stop at a few burns to drink. Great weather though.

Happy with the weekends results, managed to cope ok with 3 races. Would have been good to be pushed more in all of them though I'd have cracked on the last race for sure

Birnam hill race. Managed to take 30s off last years course record which was great! Felt pretty tired before the race but got stronger as the race went on. Second half of the climb and the descent were both good. Didn't expect to run so well

River tay dash in Dunkeld, my 1st night race for 3 years. Different route this year, basically following the river bank out and back. Quite fast running though a few stretches with stones and leaf litter that were quite hard to pick out with the headtorch. Managed to win by a minute, opened up most of it on the second half. Really enjoyed it

4 climbs of scolty and goauch. Really warm and sunny. Legs not feeling too bad either

6 x 0.5 mile with 1min recovery jog. Went up and down the track from burnett park to brathens. Legs were feeling quite good. Not doing too big a session as I'm planning on doing the three races in Dunkeld at the weekend

Out to greendams on the quiet roads

From greendams up mount shade and clachnaben on the race route. Did a few extra climbs then back to greendams. Plenty of running through heather, pretty dry in most parts.
