Hill running 2:13:01 [3] 16.1 mi (8:16 / mi) +1000m 6:56 / mi

Some climbs and flatter running between Scolty and shooting greens. Pushed hard on a few climbs just to get used to running a bit harder. Legs felt good although starting to tire a bit by the end. Fairly exhausted the Scolty area in the last few weeks but will be moving away from Banchory soon so need to make the most of it

Up Scolty and Goauch hill. Not running too badly. Still not used to the cold Scottish weather

Trail running 38:19 [3] 5.61 mi (6:50 / mi) +100m 6:28 / mi

Out and back run out to Brathens research centre plus strides at the end. Strides getting better

Trail running 1:41:56 [3] 15.22 mi (6:42 / mi) +250m 6:22 / mi

Along the south side of the River Dee on the private track from the bridge (gate open) then up to shooting greens and on a bit of the Deeside way. Came back a similar way but the gate had been locked. Such a great bit of path but kept for the privileged few. Legs felt good, kept up a consistent pace except on the long gradual uphill section.

Twice up Scolty hill with the head torch. Pretty cold, wet and windy morning. Running pretty well though

Trail running 36:20 [3] 5.3 mi (6:51 / mi) +80m 6:33 / mi

Round Corsee woods and in to Brathens with strides at the end. Needed the head torch for the last half of the run. Legs still feeling good

Three climbs on Scolty and one on Gouach hill. Trying to get the longest climbs possible. Cold and windy but sunny.

Road running 29:42 [3] 5.09 mi (5:50 / mi) +60m 5:38 / mi

Round the town loop. Freezing cold, windy and pouring with rain. 10 degrees colder than yesterday. Run was reasonable pace but felt comfortable

Crathes loop with an extension. Nice morning. Wore the head torch but only needed it for the first 10 minutes or so as it was so clear

Trail running 50:06 [3] 7.3 mi (6:52 / mi) +120m 6:32 / mi

Similar loop to last night but other way round and with strides at the end. Feeling good

Three Scolty climbs. Feeling a bit tired but legs fine

Loop through Inchmarlo golf course and Brathens woods. Feeling more awake and energetic than this morning
