Trail running warm up/down 46:30 [2] 6.2 mi (7:30 / mi) +170m 6:55 / mi

Warm up run from Finzean to Shooting greens for Deeside duathlon. Ran on the Deeside way for a bit then waited around for a while and did more warm up as the first bikes came through. Managed a short jog from the run finish back to the Milton

Trail running race 48:35 [5] 9.62 mi (5:03 / mi) +50m 4:58 / mi

Run stage of duathlon from Shooting greens to Crathes bridge, net downhill of 170m. Bert had a good cycle considering his injuries and operations in the months before but it was a bit slower than his usual. Plenty people to try and catch anyway! I hammered it from the start and did the first downhill 5k in 14.46. After that I kept up a decent enough pace along the river and felt strong until the end. Caught a lot of people, maybe 20 in total, but there were still a few ahead at the end. Donald was first back a good few minutes in front of me. Conditions weren't quite as good as last year with the massive tailwind and dry ground. Still took 85 seconds off last years time so very happy with that.
