South Downs Marathon Relay
Leg 3 (~7 miles)

Got a late call up for this one to make up numbers: given the circumstances we weren't particularly chasing an overall finishing position, just competing for bragging rights in a low-key rivalry with one of the other WH teams. Beth and Harriet both ran good legs and set me off a few mins down on JamesB. I caught him with about three miles to go, but couldn't create a long enough gap to give Philly much of a chance against DaveN on the final leg unfortunately. Had a good laugh though and running reasonably well.

Absolutely roasting hot out today, with no shade atop the downs and not much of a breeze either; felt a bit sorry for those who'd signed up to run it solo. Some great scenery and terrain for running around there, need to make a habit of getting out that way more often.

WH run: went with the medium group over to Eashing and back. R hamstring still sore but improved on yesterday, think it's just DOMS from Tues.

Hills on the track behind the train station. Run up, brief rest, run down, brief rest, repeat. Fairly informal but enjoyable, lost count of the exact number of reps. Running alright.
