orienteering race 1:14:22 [4] **** 9.0 km (8:16 / km) +110m 7:47 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#2)

Australian Long Champs, The Golden Fleece.
Back in the tin mining.
Fairly conservative race, cleanish through to #10, where I lost about 45s in the circle, lost contact on the way to #12 (long leg across sand and scrub). Picked up Mike Burton for a few legs to #15, but my #15 wasn't on his course.

Came horribly unstuck on the way to #17 and had to relocate on the finish (!), losing 5 minutes.

Australian Sprint O - Bicheno

Great sprint-O with the technical bits provided by the rock platforms along the coast. Made one quite big error (90s) and maybe another 45s of mistakes. Beaten by Mike B and Shingo, but they were both in M50, so I scraped another lucky win.

Jogged a walking track with Alexa (took so long to get to it we didn't have time to walk it)

orienteering race 1:00:41 [4] *** 8.0 km (7:35 / km) +200m 6:45 / km
slept:8.0 shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#2)

Tas champs - long.

Left #2 trying to avoid a small bit of slow forest and instead ploughed right into a big bit of fight, just not with the map scale. Bashed through it onto the wrong spur. Clean leg from there but the damage was done.

Another mistake later when I didn't follow the herd and went too high... stupid, stupid, probably another 2 minutes there.

Way off Eddies sub-50 minute pace, but should have been well under 60.
