Missed #1, didn't read the map (der) and then #5 (I think) - went to wrong stairs. Most of the race was in one of those posh harbourside unit developments and it made excellent sprint-O. There were some long road legs to get between the park where the assembly area was and that estate though.

Looks like I had bad route choice at #12 and #8 as well

Last event before I turn 50...
Will be camping next weekend to celebrate, not sure if I'll make next weekends SprintO, although I guess I should to see if age has wearied me.

Easy Iggies loop + detour to check out why one of the creeks had so much water you could have shot a Taswegian calendar there. Called Water board to report leak somewhere.

Nice to run slowly without a watch.

Testing sewing on shoes - probably need a bit of shoo-goo on top of the stitches.

Lowish tide - came the beach route, think its the same length to within 50m.

Recovery: 600ml Oak Chocolate Milk 3.4% fat

Ride to work - despite my lateness, plenty of other cyclists about, although I seem to be the only one using the work bike rack.

Really have to fix up the hole in the top of these shoes.
Felt a bit tired and uncomfortable, tried to focus on a high cadence.

Partial commute - car getting serviced.
Big difference riding up the hill to Naremburn as the first hill, very sluggly.

Got a gratuitous tooting near the end of West Street, so I diverted to take up the issue with the driver. Caught up with her at the Miller St lights and tapped on her driver-side window. She just looked straight ahead as if I wasn't there. I gave the window a few more knocks and she persisted. Should probably have opened her back door and ridden off.
