Metro League, Oatley (?)

Started off OK, but feeiling tired. Glenn Horrocks caught me and I decided to try to run with him on the two long track/road legs. Much too fast for me. Then he made a bum route choice (IMHO), and then Patrik caught me - not as fast as Glenn, but I think I was spenty by then.

Made a couple of really dumb beginner mistakes #13,#14 - brain short on oxygen, I think. After that I'd lost the urge to run hard. Pantsed.

To work - got up a bit late and ate immediately before running (ie 2 minutes), so didn't feel too sprightly early.

Beach route - I think this may be a minute slower.

Two laps of the Ourimbah XC course with Neil. Good fun - a lot trickier (and rockier) than last week, but manageable - I think Browns at the end would be the only bit that people who hate rock would really hate.

The bike climbed spectacularly well - probably the only part of the laps where I was keeping up or ahead of Nelly.

Needed a run after a frustratingly inactive weekend, felt good, minimal aches, tweaks and sore bits.
Think I'll run M40 under the new class/course regime, at least for QB3.... the M50 course is < 50% of M21 on the long day.
