6 AM

cycling 2:31:00 [3] 65.5 km (2:18 / km) +1007m 2:08 / km

From home, Akuna Bay anti-clockwise.
Failed to see Jockus at St Ives, so waited 10 minutes and went solo. Probably below his operating temperature.

Two poor choices equipment-wise:
1) Because I set off in the pitch dark, I took my clear glasses, not sunnies
2) fingerless gloves

For some of the ride I couldn't shift gear or see where I was going.

Felt fine - managed the climbs in 39-23, so had a spare gear even on existing cluster.

run 49:15 [3] 8.0 km (6:09 / km) +234m 5:22 / km
shoes: Asics GT 1000 #2

Trackworks are almost done and open to the public, so usual route uninterrupted.

cycling (commute) 20:00 [3] 8.0 km (2:30 / km)

Raised the seat on the commuter - I think it must slip gradually, it felt a heap better to ride.

run 53:00 [3] 8.2 km (6:28 / km) +234m 5:39 / km
shoes: Asics GT 1000 #2

A bit dark by the time I got into the last bit of bush and I missed the way over the creek.

cycling 48:00 [3] 16.0 km (3:00 / km) +110m 2:54 / km

Road bike - a couple of small adjustments making it feel pretty different.

Note

Looks like Akuna Bay anti-clockwise is a good proxy for Holme Moss, just a bit short
http://app.strava.com/segments/akuna-anti-clockwis...

Both 7% average though.

cycling (commute) 48:00 [3] 16.0 km (3:00 / km) +100m 2:55 / km

Commute on the new (but old) road bike.

Looking more at climbs, I can see that the climb to Gretel's place is 13.3% the easy way and 14% the hard way - similar length but steeper than Koppenberg. But not cobbled :)
