NOL Sprint qualifier, M21E

Almost caught by my minute man after a couple of controls, but held him off until about 6. We then swapped lead for a while, but I got ahead as I missed out a control (short leg on the on the straight line from preceding one to next but one).

Quite pleased with running speed, bit annoyed to mispunch, but at least I'll get an early start tomorrow.

Squeezing in some exercise - down to Tambo Bay - turned round at 2k mark and ran 1k hard back (5.05), then jog recovery. Uphill, with some steps in bush, but surprised I was that slow.

GPS was 40m shorter on the way back !!

Quite cool this morning. Legs still a bit sore, but enjoyed the run, pace felt quite spud-like, but my mind was off with the fairies.

Saw Brooner looking fairly uncomfortable at the PO in N Sydney - does he need more gears ?
