orienteering race 47:38 [3] ** 9.1 km (5:14 / km) +80m 5:01 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#5 - blue)

Mmm, the niggle I thought I'd got rid of was back today.
But decided that rather than drive back cross town & bridge after dropping Lyra at a party, I would drive across the city to Centennial PArk for the 45 minute score event. 2 hour party, 20 minutes drive each way, 45 minutes running. Almost looks possible. If you don't get to the party late.

Forgot shirt and to start watch. Missed out 1 control through not-spotting and a few others as I saved time. Fun, but jumping straight back in car to sweat my way back to trampolineland was a bit dumb, although I did score some cake (put my shirt on before then, I think Aoife was the only one I shocked).

BF Akuna attempt.
Hard out from the start with Peter-pace. O-ing, Jock and I hanging on, Guenter joined in. Jock went AWOL somewhere on General San Martin and we subsequently split up in the search for him. Didn't see Gunty and Peter again until Pattisons, but hooked up with O-ing, Nick and Jock (!) before we got to snives.

That was a bit of a shock to the system after so much rest. Injury seems to be gone, although whole body was in shock at being forced to move itself.
