Sand Dunes 3day, day 2. Pittwater.
Left watch in auto mode, actually took about 10 minutes longer.
Rusty - started navigating 3-4 when I was leaving 2 and actually went right to 3, but carried on... Things didn't improve, had another epic fail later.

orienteering 20:00 [2] 1.5 km (13:20 / km)

orienteering 44:33 [3] ***** 4.79 km (9:18 / km) +21m 9:06 / km
slept:6.0 (injured) shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#5 - blue)

Sand Dunes 3day, day 1. Pitt water.
Ankle and running fairly good, orienteering shocker. Stumbled to #1 without getting into the map, was getting into it then choose bad strategy for #9 in the open dunes, using what appeared to be a distinct tree on a knoll. Obviously not distinct enough. Then stopped reading the detail and eventually came unstuck

Wednesday Mar 8, 2017 #

mapping 1:30:00 [1] 4.0 km (22:30 / km)
(injured)

First attempt at digital mapping with the OOM App.
Note - dropping your stylus is worse than dropping your pencil in teh analogue world, especially if you only bought it 30 minutes earlier.

Looks like this will work, few things to sort out - none of my templates were visible.
Some of the existinf rock mapping was bang-on, now have to figure out if that is from the mapping Simon & I did 10 years ago or from the original map 30+ years ago part of which I transcribed to OCAD. Suspect its Simon's good work.

run 52:56 [3] 7.93 km (6:41 / km) +184m 5:59 / km
slept:6.0 (injured) shoes: Asics GT 1000 #4 (blue)

Light drizzle, quite cool. Rolled r ankle a little early, but it was a run-through-it jobby.
Easy for rest of week.
