Yesterday helped a lot with navigating today. Went round most marshes (probably a mistake). Too high at #3, which was frustrating after running the long leg quite well, then lost a minute or so picking wrong route choice for #5 and #6.

8th, improvement on yesterday's 10th and much closer to the winner.

Livelox is good to see the route choices

H55 Middle Distance Ljunga

After arriving at the event really early, I set off to the start with 20 minutes to spare and no idea how far it was. Probably the hardest I ran all day was to make the start box (just).

Decided to go straight at #1 to get into the map, rather than track option, think this worked, got a little cliff bound but OK for #1, #2, lost confidence at #3 and cut back to check another control. Messed up #5 - loads of rock on ground, only 1 boulder on the map.

Decided to run across marsh to #7 which turned out to be OK, but sloowww. Missed #8 a little, but really came undone at #11, paying too much attention to a guy who had passed me and not enough to the map.Maybe 3-4 minutes lost in the dark green.
