Not a great outing.
Should have been a longish ride with Nick, which I was a bit dubious about as he has been riding about 10-15 hours a week.

Anyway 6am meet-up, so I should have set my alarm for 5.20am, but set it for 5.40. Got woken up by the kid next door being murdered (again) at 1am. Woke up at 5.40 with the alarm having slept through the Palace game which I planned to watch later (this is important).

Jumped in the pre-packed car to get there only 7 minutes late and there was a posse waiting, Nick, Jason and a couple of ring-ins. We banged off down to Bobbo pretty briskly and I realised that I was out-classed, both the ring-ins being severe bike-heads. Jason was hanging back (it was pretty gloomy) down the hill, I was just keeping the others in sight when I lost my back wheel. A few seconds of panic and one unclip and I stayed up.

Rode up the other side, during which time Nick gave me the four word spoiler ("what happened to Wolves then"). Turned round at the top and came back to the car - it rained most of the return trip.

Great running weather though.
