Orienteering race (Xmas 5 Days - Day 4) 36:38 [4] 4.66 km (7:52 / km)

Ophir South
If attackpoint splits can be believed no time losses despite a few wobbles here and there. Pleased to get the fastest split for the brutal climb up to 9, the first control in the gold mining. 4th overall.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5 Days - Day 3) 51:26 [4] 6.05 km (8:30 / km)

Rocky Falls
OK run despite with time losses on 3 (overshot to south - not the only one), 4 (overshot and hit rocks to the east) and 5 where I hit the gully but didn't see the control so started heading downhill before realising what I was doing. Was pleased to have the fasted split to 11 which I approached along the track to the south before doubling back into the control.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5 Days - Day 2) 40:55 [4] 5.57 km (7:21 / km)

Kahli's Rock
Very kind route setting avoiding the worst of the rocks. A lot of running through the open before dipping in for a control then out again. Lost time on 6 like a lot of people trying to find the right thicket, steady down to 8 to avoid being tripped up then fast through the paddocks and rocks on the way back (3 fastest legs). Very pleased with my second place.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5 Days - Day 1 ) 15:36 [4] 2.96 km (5:16 / km)

Charles Sturt Uni - Orange Campus
Tricky little sprint making good use of the area which I failed miserably. Put off by the track through the olive being obsured by the circle at 3 and the subsequent 2 times I had to go this way. Became totally disoriented leaving 6 and headed straight to 3 (that bloody path again) thinking it was 7, rather than continuing around the building to 7 I headed back towards 6 before cutting between the building. Lost nearly 2 mins on this leg so game over despite 3 fastest legs after it as I tried to make up time.

Running 1:05:07 [3] 10.22 km (6:22 / km)

Traditional Big Foot Christmas Day run, this year from ours. Fairylands loop then an additional Big Gum loop to get some extra kms in, only Brooner and I did the whole excursion. Cool and drizzly.
