Orienteering race 24:21 [3] 3.87 km (6:18 / km)
shoes: Brooks GTS16

ANU South - Open
Brain and body seemed to have reached outload as some shocking mistakes on a tricky course. Okay to 9 then became totally disoriented leaving the control. Lost about a minute wandering around, luckily in the right direction, before realising where I was and finding 10. Like many was caught out by the unmapped locked gate coming out of 11 and took a suboptimal choice to 12. Next brain fade was at 15-16 where another minute was binned, not sure what happened. Worst run of the five by far, poor way to finish a great series of events.

Orienteering race 19:17 [3] 3.48 km (5:32 / km)
shoes: Brooks GTS16

Orana Steiner School - Open
Great little area mapped at 1:2000 meaning things happened very quickly. Totally confused at teh start triangle (not the only one) and probably lost 50secs orientating myself via the wrong building completely before working out where the first control was. Things ran smoothly running head to head with Briohny but taking different routes until 14 when I decided to skip 15, only realising when I was at 16 so back to 15. I was one of many to cross the uncrossable wall at 18, luckily someone called out so I backtracked not gaining, actuallay losing, any advantage. Two third of the way down the results as always.

Orienteering race 22:36 [3] 3.42 km (6:36 / km)
shoes: Inov8 212 (blue & orange)

Bruce Ridge - Open
Fun bush sprint. A lot of decisions were when to leave the safety of the wiggly bike paths and go straight through the scratchy bush. Only real mistake was finding 10 before 9 (30 secs). Lacking any aggresion as would be expected.

Orienteering race 20:19 [3] 3.88 km (5:14 / km)
shoes: Brooks GTS16

University of Canberra - Open
A better run although I probably missed soem of the better route choices. Lost 4 places (25 secs) on the last control as I became fixated on a temporary OOB that I didn't want to cross and managed to totally confuse myself. Still couldn't find the OOB when I went to check after I'd finished.

Orienteering race 20:15 [3] 3.97 km (5:06 / km)
shoes: Brooks GTS16

AIS - Open (1-1)
Slow, not helped by falling into the uncrossable fence trap from 1 to 2 (30 secs) and then taking the longer route form 4 to 5 which looked 50/50 but obviously wasn’t. Well down the results as expected.
