Orienteering race (SSS13) 46:32 [1] 3.65 km (12:46 / km) +58m 11:49 / km
ahr:105 max:165 (injured) shoes: Brooks GTS18-1

Devlins Creek
Walk with Millie (dog), Nea and Serryn. Thought running six days on the trot would be a big ask.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5 days - day 5) 47:24 [3] 5.91 km (8:01 / km) +123m 7:16 / km
ahr:135 max:177 (injured) shoes: Inov8 212 (black & red)

Kooringle - Hard 3 (MC)
Bit of a headless chicken for the first two controls then managed to get my together after that. Best run of the week to get 4th. Thoroughly enjoyed the 5 days, good maps and challenging courses. Great effort from all concerned to put the carnival on despite all the challenges.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5 days - day 4) 50:32 [3] 4.8 km (10:32 / km) +178m 8:53 / km
ahr:153 max:184 (injured) shoes: Inov8 212 (black & red)

Pine Trees South - Hard 3 (MC)
Slow and wayward to the first control. Fine through to 9 where I ended up too high up on the right despite following the open areas carefully (or so I thought). Pleased to spike 12 and 13 then screwed up 14 as I thought the control was on a boulder rather than bare rock (must learn to read the control descriptions).

Orienteering race (Xmas 5 days - day 3) 57:38 [3] 5.5 km (10:29 / km) +198m 8:53 / km
ahr:163 max:188 (injured) shoes: Inov8 212 (black & red)

Pine Tree - Hard 3 (MC)
That was more like it (although I was still hindered by the back). Caught Nea up for 3 minutes a 1, ran together to 2 where she got away from me, she caught me again at 7 after she had a minor detour, and then pretty much ran the rest of the course together. A few wobbles as you would expect from a complex granite terrain. Good courses from Ali, although they proved more challenging for older competitors, especially if they had chosen to go out late.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5 days - day 2) 1:21:42 [3] 5.92 km (13:48 / km) +213m 11:42 / km
ahr:144 max:186 (injured) shoes: Inov8 212 (black & red)

Oakview - Hard 3 (MC)
Going well to 7 then lost contact with the map to 8. After 19 minutes stumbling around the slope I finally managed to find the control having overshot it to the right. My lack of fitness and back meant I walked the rest of the course, still managing to have problems with 12. Wasn’t last!

Orienteering race (Xmas 5 days - day 1) 26:49 [3] 3.36 km (7:59 / km) +96m 6:59 / km
ahr:142 max:176 (injured) shoes: Inov8 212 (black & red)

Armidale Pine Forest - Hard 3 (Men’s C)
Actually managed to run, first time in nearly 3 weeks, but took it very easy. Wayward on 3 and 14 losing time unnecessarily. Good little area.
