Jiu Jitsu 1:30:00 [3]

Evening jiu jitsu class.

Techniques covered:

Review of basic x-choke from guard. Basic and variation. Also covered an interesting variation from side-mount. Will try to employ this regularly as I end up in side mount a lot.

Rolling session was interesting. Did one round with a former wrestler and he dominated me. Next time will try to grab him first and utilize go to neutralize his movement. Don't expect to beat him every time but would like to slow him down.

4. Kettlebell exercise

2 minute rounds, 1 minute rest. Repeated twice.

Technique: Basic X-choke and variations. Basic version from guard, arm-bar variation, and basic x-choke from mount.

Letting the calf recover. Easy 30 minutes on the treadmill.

Split squats
T-pushups
Flutter Kicks
Mountain climbers

Each exercise for 20 secs, rest 10. After all four rest 30 seconds. Repeat 4 times.

Sledge hammer
K-bell swings 24kg

4 rounds of tabata each exercise. Repeat twice.
