Friday Feb 2

running (treadmill) 15:00 [2]
warm-up
biking (stationary trainer) 1:00:00 [3]
opted for more of a cycling workout today. my left knee was bothering me a bit yesterday during my run, so i didn't want to push things too much. and the pool is closed until the end of the month. boo.
strength/core 20:00 [3]
since the pool's been closed for the last month and apparently will remain so for the next few weeks, weight training has become my sole source of upper-body conditioning. not really sure i like it-i've always steered away from the scary looking jarhead types that seem to gravitate toward that side of the gym.

Thursday Feb 1

strength/core (arms/abs) 30:00 [2]
the gym was almost empty when i got there this morning so i took advantange of the chance to do some circut training on the weight machines.
running (treadmill) 10:00 [2]
warm-up
running (tredmill) 1:00:00 [3] 6.7 mi (8:57 / mi)
longer run on the treadmill. incline=1.0. watched reruns of the daily show and the colbert report.

Sunday Jan 28

Event: QOC Hemlock Overlook

orienteering 2:41:00 [2] 7.8 km (20:38 / km)
red course at hemlock overlook. I'm starting to wonder if i'll ever get rid of this cough. felt fine the day before the meet, but the second that sub-freezing air hit my lungs i was hacking like a tuberculosis patient. couldn't run much as a result, and i lost a lot of time making stupid mistakes. oh well.
