And Katherine is sick. She's had a bit of a runny nose, which I assumed was related to her cutting teeth, but she woke up this morning completely congested. And she slept better last night, but still not great.

I was still dragging a bit this morning, but managed to haul myself out to the track for some 400m intervals. Kept them right around 1:55, with about 60-90 seconds rest between each.

Oof. I really wasn't feeling like doing much of anything today, but I'm glad I got in the water. Ended up being a good workout after all. Mostly some intervals and stroke drills, then a nice, comfortably hard swim for the last 15 minutes or so.
Katherine has had a few bouts of sleep regression over the past couple months, and last night she woke up screaming like her little world was ending around midnight. Went in to check on her, and picked her up, and she fell right back asleep. Tried to set her back in her crib, and she started screaming again. Picked her up- snoring by the time her head made it to my shoulder. Set her down- no good. That continued for almost an hour and a half. She started having separation anxiety when I drop her off at daycare a couple weeks ago, although that seems to be getting better. And her top front teeth are popping through, she's trying to talk, and she just learned how to pull herself up to standing, so she's got a lot going on.

Score-o at Lake Accotink. Beautiful day to get out in the woods, and I felt good. If I had gone in planning to clear the course, I think I could have, but I wasted too much time at the beginning, so while I was close to the far end of the map at my pre-planned turnaround time, I figured I didn't have quite enough time to make it to the farthest control. Missed one on the way back because I didn't see it on the map, then missed another because I didn't see it in the woods, although I must have run right passed it. With 3 minutes left to go, I tried to duck into the woods to grab one last control, but missed it on the first attack, didn't have time to look for it, and ended up 24 seconds over time anyway.
