Hike up Mt Elbert 14er and highest peak in Colorado. With the 2 15 year olds from Missouri. They had to take a lot of breaks and so it slowed me down, but that was ok. Crazy part is when this F-15 broke the sound barrier near the top, someone below yelled anyone have some toilet paper.
Weather was perfect, next time I would try Mt Massive just across the road.
Tough workout but really cool coming from a different route than I have done before.

20 years ago with chi town and Orlyn we were going up with Soupbone’s ashes ( the real Soupbone ) we met a couple of guys struggling near the top and chi town invited them to join us for the ceremonial tossing of my wife’s ashes. Well they never made it up there, ha ha. That makes a good story about Mt Elbert.
