Monday Dec 31

XC-Skiing 2:09:00 [4] 30 km (4:18 / km)
Nordic Ski Trail, Ok I just did 2 loops so I could get back home and return stuff, like the 1700 refridge and other stuff. The trail was pretty sweet and might head back tomorow. Its snowing tonight pretty hard, so it will make the conditions better or the driving worse or both.

Sunday Dec 30

XC-Skiing 40:00 [3] 7 km (5:43 / km)
I had to check out the conditions at Parkside. It was dark and the trail was not near as good as I expected, lots of sticks and some icey spots.

Saturday Dec 29

Wind Trainer 1:04:00 [3]
More YMCA club training with my Dad lifting weights and me on the treadmill and and lifestyle bike and throw in some weights and, he he he and call it a workout.

Friday Dec 28

Wind Trainer 48:00 [3]
Back to the club for more exercise with my Dad, I spent 20 min. on wind trainer and other time on various activities such as raquette ball and weights, so i just added time in. I can't wait to see snow and get ready to ski and race next week.

Thursday Dec 27

Hiking 3:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (22:30 / mi)
Superstition Wilderness hike on the Peratia trail with my neice Sona and my nefhew Raffi. It was a long hike up to a saddle to view the prize. Weaver's Needle. It was cool and a nice rocky hike.
Great time with my neice and nefhew. I am trying to get them more into hiking, biking and guitar playing than the city life they live. If I had more time with them to get them into this, maybe some day.

Wednesday Dec 26

Running 20:00 [3] 2.5 mi (7:59 / mi)
Treadmill in a ymca.

C • Minocqua Winter Park 3

Monday Dec 24

Running 50:00 [3] 5.5 mi (9:05 / mi)
Hello Arizona!!! My favorite place to run is in the Phoenix Mt. Preserve. It has cool trails that wonder all over, I had a time limit so I stayed flat, the footing is rocky, sandy and dirt. Nice views and I should be back most of the week to train here. Oh and i have not run in 2 weeks and I felt pretty good.
C • A foot of new snow in Wisconsin! 1

Thursday Dec 20

XC-Skiing 1:20:00 [3] 16 km (5:00 / km)
Warm temps and the skiing was spotty, either good or slushy and slow.

Wednesday Dec 19

XC-Skiing 1:25:00 [3] 18 km (4:43 / km)
Two 6 K warmup loops and 1 6k cool down loop at Parkside. It seemed colder than the temps and I had a hard time keeping fingers and toes warm.
XC-Skiing tempo 20:32 [5] 6 km (3:25 / km)
Actually a Time trial with Steve W. I thought for sure I would be dragging tail around the course following him. Well after a while and on his tail I said let me pull. Off I went and I could not believe he did not stay on my tail. I was 20:32 and he was 21:19. He did groom for 45 minutes to make the trail smooth, I think smelling that exhust from the snow machine is bad for your lungs. Well the temps were about 18 degrees and some fog so that explains the never get warm feeling.

Tuesday Dec 18

XC-Skiing 1:57:00 [4] 27 km (4:20 / km)
206.8 K to date on Dec 18th. It was near perfect night for conditions to ski at Parkside, except the sandpaper pines that was slower than the rest of the trail, not sure why but it sucked. Feeling good and this has to be the most K's this early in a long long time.

Monday Dec 17

XC-Skiing 2:43:00 [3] 36 km (4:32 / km)
Actually 2 skis, one in the morning slower and the evening one with Steve W. and much faster pace. Both at Parkside, no Sunday workout because I was grooming for 2 1/2 hours.

Saturday Dec 15

XC-Skiing 2:50:00 [4] 33.7 km (5:03 / km)
Lapham Peak for a perfect conditions ski. It was snowing hard the whole time. 3 loops of the Black Trail and this has hills if you have ever been there. Poor Steve W. he was burnt by 2 loops and I had to hammer the 3rd by myself. Than I did the lighted loop as a cool down. I timed the big Slide and it took 80 seconds to go down and in a tuck. I only hope Parkside can recieve good snow to keep that place going.

Thursday Dec 13

XC-Skiing 40:00 [3] 10 km (4:00 / km)
Parkside, Icey, too fast. We had much more rain than 1 hour north. It needed more grooming to break up the ice.

Wednesday Dec 12

XC-Skiing 2:02:00 [4] 25.2 km (4:50 / km)
Awesome snow and trail system at Lapham Peak tonight. 7 hilly loops of 3.6 K on the lighted trail. Felt 20X better than last Wed. night. 97.2K year to date.

Monday Dec 10

Running 40:00 [3] 4.1 mi (9:45 / mi)
Run in the dark to pick up car at Brat Stop. Felt pretty good, just had to dodge cars at some points.
XC-Skiing 40:00 [3] 9 km (4:27 / km)
Ok, I was getting set to leave and Steve called and said some one drove through our ski trails and put RUTS in the nice trails. So I put my groomer clothes over my ski stuff and groomed about 45 minutes and smoothed out some ruts and went skiing :)

Sunday Dec 9

XC-Skiing 1:20:00 [3] 18 km (4:27 / km)
Another 2 loops at Parkside before the AGM today. I was the first skater out there after a nice dusting, too bad two guys ran on the trail before i skied, I have a few names for them cause they turned over the sign that stated, no walking on groomed ski trails Dec- March. #$%^**^%*$#@*&

Saturday Dec 8

XC-Skiing 1:20:00 [3] 18 km (4:27 / km)
Perfect Parkside enough said!!!!!!!!
XC-Skiing 43:00 [3] 9 km (4:47 / km)
Afternoon ski at Parkside, could only motivate for 1 loop, but it was fine.

Thursday Dec 6

XC-Skiing 1:22:00 [4] 15 km (5:28 / km)
Well yesterday's problem with the snow mobile was fixed, by us not having a clue that there is kill switch near the throttle. This after we cleaned the sparkplugs and than going to the store to replace them and just hauling the thing back as far as we haul it with my pickup truck and rope. It started right up this morning and I thought was going to be put back in the garage where it is kept. When I went to the garage it was gone. The county guys must of took it back to their mainatince building for ????. So Steve and I headed up to L-Peak for some skiing. Lapham peak was perfect. Too bad My skis had poor gilde and I had to shake the cobwebs out of my body to ski. I have been in weight training unit at work and have been using medicne balls for some cool core/ upper body workouts with kids. One i saw last night on TV at the Bar was an ultimate fighter abd workout with a partner. I took it as a two person challange where you would go until the other person quit. This was awesome and tough to use with kids. So if we get the snowmobile back someone wil have to groom and I can ski Sat. at Parkside.

Monday Dec 3

Wind Trainer 25:00 [3]
Cold and decided to rest foot by biking indoor. It seems that after running a day that a day on the bike is just what is needed to straighten everthing out. I did 6 X 1:30 intervals also tonight.
C • Get ready to row... 2

Sunday Dec 2

Orienteering Meet race 1:28:38 [5] ***** 6.5 km (13:38 / km)
spiked:13/14c
Kellings Lake, and Wi State Champs. It snowed about 6 inches the night before so I was constantly running on or avoiding Joe's tracks. I only went brain dead once and cost me about 5 minutes.
Kellings Lake has some really nice glacial terrain. It was hillly but the icebugs were fine, but really heavy after getting wet.
A super enjoyable run and only wish there was no snow to make running that much better.

Saturday Dec 1

XC-Skiing 7:00 [3] 1.0 mi (7:00 / mi)
Big storm moved in and about three inches of snow and thasn sleet and rain. Finally cleaned up my wax/equipment room and pulled out a pair of rock skis and skied around my yard. 7 minutes but it was cool.
