Saturday May 31

I missed the 5K run at Antioch so I headed to Sun Lakes forest preserve. I had never ran there before and wanted to also find the new best route to ride my bike to school. I did and it should be totally cool route/

Friday May 30

Floor Hockey 30:00 [4]
Last day teaching here at Allendale and our favorite Floor hochey class just happened to be first hour. Great game as John and i were teamed up on a team that must of won 10-1. This is a great workout.

Oh and my legs have finally recovered from the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday May 26

Running race 1:13:53 [5] 10.0 mi (7:22 / mi) vdot: 45.8
Ok stupid me got talked into another CARA Circuit race. Cause we were going to take Rich Gaylord out for breakfest after. The course runs by his house and he is usually outside cheering the runners. Well he was not outside and after the race he split. The race was ok, 10 miles a little long but I mananged a 7:23 pace. Splits were ^6:54, 7:07,7:16, 7:28,7:10,7:25,7:30, 7:40, 7:55 and 7:26. It was hilly and fairly warm.

Ride to Michaels house for cookout. I started 3 1/2 hours after I finished the run. This about the same type of time for the madison to Chicago relay. Ok maybe not, but it was decent riding and I took a new route that is really 20 miles to his house from russel road parking lot, with a little road riding that is better than before.

Backon the road again, I just headed east and did some exporeing on some different roads. Slow but nice, I did not want to hammer anything as I am going to do the 10 miler tomorow.

Start the day with a run to check ankle, its ok and I ran the last 2 miles in 14:27

Finally got the real road bike out, and it felt good. Just the usual 20 route, lots of wind.

Ride to work first time this year. Some what chilly with a pack full of ice skates and shoes. Nice ride till after antioch high school and than cars, gravel.

Ride to the Kenosha diunes while I waited for my tail pipe to be put on. Very chilly by the lake michigan.

Tuesday May 20

Running 1:10:00 [3] 7.5 mi (9:20 / mi)
Bristol woods for a nine mile run On the trail and it seemed to get warm in there. I was looking to run 9 miles, 3 warmup, 3 tempo and 3 cool down. Well took 30 min, the tempo was 22:48 and the cool down was only 1.5 miles.

CARA circuit race at Crystal Lake. Felt tired from weekend at state track meet. But ran ok, and finished 3rd in age group.

Busse Woods meet. It seemed like Finland because of the marshes. Some controls were in vauge places or vauge teraine. But I was beat from a decent 5k earlier as usual. It was fun and I tired early at about the 65 minute mark and sloged through the marshes at the end. Good tough courses, but the bags were hung real low and the bags seem pretty faded. Just my excuse :)

AM run from hotel, to the EIU x-c trail. A little slow from last night run + dinner and DQ malt.

Friday May 16

Running race 15:00 [5] 1.0 mi (14:59 / mi)
1600 meter run under the lights at Eastern Il U. It was the post state track meet that had open events. I talked 2 of my buds into running the 1600 meter run. they had some weird plan to beat me and there was Wendys fast food on the line. There were a lot of folks down on the track this year `hanging around and it was fun. Oh I did run a rather slow 5:53. OH by the way I will never eat at Wendys for a long time.

Run to the track and arround the panther trail down here at eastern IL in the rain.

Wednesday May 14

After warmup, I had my girls do a ladder. 100,200,300,400, 400,300,200,100 and form run + 800 cool down. They were fast!!!!

Easy run with my 3200 state qualifer.

Windy and slow, but it was nice to get out.

Another Cara circuit race. I felt better and about 30 seconds faster than last week. I will be going to the Girls State Track meet thursday because my 3200 meter runner made it with 11:23 time. YEA!

I had to run this morning as the fire burned. I ran the last 2 miles hard in 14:19.

Thursday May 8

I decided to run my own trails with my dogs chasing me around. Well this might be the last one as 4:00am in the morning I found my dog Critter dead. She had the bag from cheeze nips box and got it over her head and suffocated her. At 4:30 I had a blaze going and creamenated her my self. I am bumbed out and not sure what I am going to do.

I took the Trek 7.7 out for a trial run the the Des Plaines River trail from Russell Road tor Libertyville somewhere. My bike rocks for that trail, except I am not sure if its really faster than my MT. Bike on the DRT.

5K race in Chicago, well what do you know I placed 3rd in age -group. splits of 6:29,6:46, 7:04 in wind, and :35 kick in. I actually felt stronger and tried to work hard on the way in. BR said this might of been a hare long. After next week, gotta start training harded as track will end.
