Orienteering Meet race 1:10:45 [5] ***** 5.3 km (13:21 / km) +190m 11:19 / km
Day 2 Western Champs. Well with the rush to get to the airport on time, Clark and i started early, actually the first 2 out. It was great to be on a course with no one around. A few bobbels around the first 3 controls, jsut lococatin the bag really and than picked up the pace and the nav was good. i got just a bit sloppy at 13 cause i mistook a junction for the wrong one. Than I totally bombed the last control, I just drifited to the southand had to relcoate. a simple control that took the winners 2-3 minutes took me almost 10. i would of should of placed at least third today. Dissapointed with my runs, but the trip was great. lots of good beers and scenery. The flight home sucked after returning back to San Fran after taking off and gettin on a new plane it ended up 4 hours late and I sat across a lady who was given a break that they did not write her up for disorderly conduct on a plane.
C • Should have stayed out here 2

Started out great and than it began, poor poor excution.I bombed No7 so bad and i was so close and just could not relocate when needed. It got worse berfore it got better and I just hung on to finish anyway. Really poor showing could be, yes its about as bad as a vouple of days in Finland. But i always come back.

Orienteering Related 24:00 [4] *** 2.2 km (10:55 / km)
I ran the Adler Sprint from Sunday and it was really cool. No e. punches and none were needed EXCEPT no 6 which was between 2 rootstocks, but the clue sheet said man-made feature. Soooooooooo, I actually went back when I was finished to see what it was supposed to be and sure enough it was the 2 rootstocks. Oh well fun new map map by Joe Sackett.
C • Man doesn't make rootstocks 1

Running 47:00 [3] 5.0 mi (9:23 / mi)
Windy cold day, so I went to Bristol Woods for my run. I did 2 mile warm-up and than tried to tempo again, no luck so it was just a good 3 mile run.

Tuesday Oct 9

Running tempo 1:00:00 [4] 5.0 mi (11:59 / mi)
Went to Parkside track for a workout, and the track was just redone. So of to jog down road to trail where we tempo ran 20 minute run. We jogged back and did 3 X 400 repeats, on the new track. The lines were not in and at the steeple chase pit it all blended in and it was poor light.

Mt. Biking 1:31:00 [3] 14.0 mi (6:29 / mi)
Just another great ride on South Marquette trails. It was the same type of loop that ends coming down pioneer trail, and that is one of the most fun curves and dips and ups and downs. Back for shower, pasty and head home.
