Race #2 of the Madnaess Series. this a handicapped system that is still not quite fair. It was negitive 2-4 degrees with 20-30 mile an hour winds. It was really bad only on this bridge crossing and the wind hurt. Some folks actually had white skin on their cheek, it warmed up and did not seem to be a big problem after a few IPA's at the Ram brew pub. Jeff Shaw joined us for a few and a great lunch. We also had a tour of the brewery with the Brewmister. Oh I was the first one in he he . In a regular I would of been beat bad as I pulled something in my calf muscle and my legs were somewhat dead. Only 14 tough, crazy orienteers showed up, but it was pretty competitive. The orienteering was not hard by any means and it was also a mass start.

What a day at Nordic, after 2 hours last night at the hilly L-Peak it was almost a nice break to ski without the killer climbs of last night. The temps were in the high 20's and there were more people than i have seen there in a long time. So 5 + hours in less trhan 24 hours time.

What a great night to dodge trimming at Parkside to ski at L-Peak. It started snowing about a 1/2 inch and was awesome. 7 loops and 24 k in 2 hours. Dicely drive home and when I got home it was rain. Off to Nordic tomorow for hopefully 3 hours of fun and hard workout.
