Marquette Mi, for some skiing and rental house work, lease sign etc. Lots of work, Oh well.

Last day of Ran It Granite. Great time except one bomb control #7 where I was on 2-3 wrong spurs and slow to easy #2.

Saturday Mar 28, 2009 #

Orienteering Meet race 40:37 [5] 4.0 km (10:09 / km) +180m 8:17 / km

The perfect mistake!!! Great meet, great maps etc. running south to No.6 ...6 and 9, 110 meters apart, paralell spurs, and I nailed it and moved on. a minute latter,,,oops thats not my control. Back to 6. Nice middle distance event. Lidar data on map.

Orienteering Meet race 17:42 [5] 2.5 km (7:05 / km) +75m 6:09 / km

Sprint Relay.....What a blast! Mass start, green course with the male penality. Up the hill 50-100 meters. Nice fast Relay that will be used in chicago sometime. I ended following holly K for a few controls, until she got stuck in a pit. Some military cadet came by and passed up both of us and knew my name. John williams was way out, but not sure of his routes.
Tim parsons also passed and near the end holly turned to finish and tim and I had the penaity climb. My Team of Rick B and Tim Good almost brought back Blue Moon Express!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ran it Granite sprint 1. Nice to get out in the woods on a great day. Fairly easy course with some climb. Still had to pay attention, but the woods were open.

Orienteering Meet race 16:06 [5] *** 2.4 km (6:42 / km) +75m 5:48 / km
spiked:11/11c

Ran it Granite sprint 2. Really easy course, a real runners course. A bit too simple and not much navagation.

Running intervals 30:00 [4] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

Todays workout was 6 x 600 cruise intervals. Not so hard that you couldn't jog the 400 after before you started again.
