Orienteering Meet race 1:37:09 [4] *** 6.4 km (15:11 / km)
ahr:137 max:185 spiked:11/15c shoes: Icebug black 2

Country Lane Woods for a local meet. Well still have not seen my mental clairty back yet. But saw a lot of briars and barberry. Our maps have simply become overgrown with the stuff, and when they do try to clear some invasive stuf they don't take up the stumps. Hard to run without tripping. We had one control that was total bingo, even thought you were in the area it was real low, and could only see from two angles covered in barberry. Overall good workout.

Cross Biking Rd/Trail 3:05:00 [3] 40.0 mi (4:37 / mi)

Nice day on the Des Plaines river trail, a bit cool out. But good workout and the legs getting tired at the end.

Running 50:00 [2] 4.0 mi (12:30 / mi)

Easy run at Bristol Woods with KT. Finally was able to hide from her and see what she would do. She actually stopped about 100 feet from where I was hiding and stayed there. Interesting.

Out today on Willow Springs map trying to finalize courses for Nov. 10 meet.
Have to turn in a map to the forest preserve showing my courses before reciving the permit. Going to have to lie to them because the only good sections to run in possibility are off limits. I am only taking 200 meters into their zone.

. I also am making a long red run with some orangish controls, for safety reasons......If I cannot penetrate the barberry or prickly rose stickers, runners shouldn't. Even though they will get a heathy dose of them anyway.

Yesterday I spent a solid 4 hours of landscaping. Chainsaw and stump grinder more buckthorn. I was really sore yesterday, but 3 hours of walking in the woods today and I feel fine.
