XC-Skiing warm up/down 25:36 intensity: (5:30 @0) + (1 @1) + (27 @2) + (12:21 @3) + (7:00 @4) + (17 @5) 3.31 mi (7:44 / mi) +97m 7:05 / mi

Felt really good but not into the full loop with my new and helpful new Salomon boots just purchased an hour ago.
These boots have cured my ankle problem that I actually had a cortisone shot in the spring after skiing last year cause it hurt so much. Well no problems with it till I put my now old ski boot and it came back. Well with a heal brace I made it through till I picked the new ones up. I must admit the new and expensive technology that were up dated in the last 7 or so years is pretty good and now saved me another $ 500 TRIP TO THE PODITRIST.

XC-Skiing race 17:26 [5] 4.07 km (4:17 / km) +97m 3:50 / km

Race night lapham Peak Wed night series. Conditions of the snow and the weather was some of the best ever. But not a good race. I just was not ready for the intensity of a mass start on a narrow trail. The hills are killer and I have not really felt good pushing hills yet and this course is hilly.

XC-Skiing warm up/down 20:30 intensity: (2:00 @3) + (9:10 @4) + (9:20 @5) 2.17 mi (9:27 / mi) +75m 8:32 / mi

XC-Skiing 1:53:00 [3] 16.78 km (6:44 / km)

Started at Pets and worked our way to Parkside. Most of it good skating conditions. A few areas of ice hidden under 1 in of new snow this am. Conditions were slow for the most part.

XC-Skiing 1:44:00 [3] 20.0 km (5:12 / km)

Back to the golk course for more 2 mile loops. It was just as good if not faster on the pure crust. But Steve designed the trail useing max amount of the course and best parts usable.

Muscles are getting used/beat up, but it feels good to be outside gettin long workouts in. Weather looks favorable for no melt downs in the near future.

XC-Skiing 1:20:00 [3] 15.0 km (5:20 / km)

Steve groomed up the hard crust at Pets golk course, and it is pretty darn good. First day out and a little shaky. But got the cobwebs out and had a great workout.

Ski season is on and 3 weeks to the Nokie marathon...ouch
