The last race night. Sorta sucked wind on a 5 degree night. Had to start in the back of the pack and slowly worked my self up to my level of skiers. Never catching up to my real competition I have been aiming at all year.
I think at this point I have to take a step back and realize that my top tier skiing days are fading with my right shoulder. Dr. told me today that my surgery on my shoulder did not seem like it held up and I have bone on bone with arthritis there. So I got a cortisone shot in it. I bet racing tonight was probably was not the worst thing to do. My past experience is that it does not matter. It should take a few more days to feel better. Oh and shoulder replacement might be his recommendation. There anyone with any experience with injecting pig slim or anything like that.?
The HR is not accurate with my 225 it slides up to my wrist while skiing only.
Anyway we finished all 6 wed night races for the first time. My buddy Steve Wikner just kept getting stronger all season and worked himself to 4 seconds behind the first place guy in his age group. Quite a move from 4th earlier this season.
Headed to Arizona after the Birkie next weekend. Can wait to Orienteering in the desert warmth. Rudy better show up.
Just came up with this saying today " O is Body and Mind in Perfect Motion " dig it?

GREENBUSH....Have not been here for a couple of years for skiing. It was excellent justs like Zillmer yesterday. Probably 8 miles apart. I always used to think of the great orienteering that could happen there when skiing years before the A meet there.
The tracks were even perfect. So another strong/long day and was only tired the last 20 minutes or so.
Will be back tomorrow!
This is what xc skiing is supposed to be like!!!!!!
