Note

The Garlic Mustard war this year has been good. At this point I have killed almost 95% of everything I see. There are still sprouts coming up, and will continue to work on them as they sprout. This has been the perfect time to eradicate the plant as it was close to being the only green thing coming up from the leaves. It's a two year cycle for the plant, so the key is no flowering seeds dropping. Next year could be the end on my property of this invasive species.

Running 43:00 [3] 7.0 km (6:09 / km)
shoes: Solomon

Bristol woods with Katie. Not a soul seen on the trail. The mud is still there and my route avoided big wet areas when I came upon them.

Orienteering Meet race 1:29:09 [4] *** 6.7 km (13:18 / km)
spiked:11/12c shoes: Icebug #4's

Cats Agenda. Yep right next to Cats Meow.
This is the beauty of living here, that is one awesome map/ ski area.
The weather was horrible at home before leaving, bringing back memories from 2 years ago where hypothermia was close by. But as we headed north, the rain slowed to a stop and it a perfect 35 but dry. In the meet, I did experience greenbush at it best and worse. That's the beauty of the area. Lost about 5 minutes when I drifted trying to avoid a monster depression only to be off course by 300 meters. The rest of the meet was orienteering Magic.
Oivind, Jan Erik and Tonya from CAOC joined the trip up there making a 5 hour total drive worth their efforts.

Nice two day weekend of local meets comes to an end. Anytime spring can arrive.

spiked:13/15c shoes: Icebug #4's

Crystal Lake, an official training event for advanced. Flagging tape and print your own maps at home. Go whenever you like on the weekend or even into next week the tape will still be up.
The advanced course was sort of orangish, but some good controls.
Hope the club continues this type of event....
