NAOC Sprint Champs on Dartmouth campus.
Well losing 2.5 minutes on control 19 cost the championship. Just went faster than I could read the map. Coming out of 18 I misread the road and could not recover for that long. Fun race though.

This ended a super fantastic 10 days of friends, orienteering, camping some and sad it has to end. Overall the body feels great and ready to get some more races in next weekend and all of October.

NAOC Long Championships.
Whew no 2 was gonna be super tough, but I managed to get it. I got way to the north of no 3, but managed to still hang in there. Over shot no 7 but relocated 150 meters to the west. Then the long leg from 8-9 took 23 minutes. Thankfully hit the trail to the west and finished strong after that.
Over all 2nd in my Age group.
Maricel wins his again and JP took 3rd again.

North American Middle Champs. New Hampshire. Thought I was moving very quick and feeling good. Unfortunately on no 13 I took a trail short and could not figure out where I was. Losing 10 minutes on that control hurt any chances of placing. But till then and after that control I was running strong. That was the only positive thing from this run.
Maricel took first in M-35 and JPL took 3rd in m-55

Forest Sprint Relay. JP and I teamed up for this event. First person ran the mass start, but there were two different maps,
I had leg one.
Started out good, lost any pack after 5 and on six drifted down the hill off the map. Took a bit to recover, but my glasses were so fogged up I could not read anything. In retrospect I should of just taken them off since the map was 1-5000. Limped through the rest of the course and JP took off.
He had a nice run and we won the handicap division.
Old guys rock!
