Poplar Creek. Well 3 and 4 were tough controls in vague and thick green areas. I found 4 before 3 and then could not find 4 again. Lots of others looking for it and it was misplaced.
Lots my mojo and between the thick woods and high grass, I was beat. So after crossing the road the area actually improved, but just walked mostly then anyways.

Annual Lapham Peak trail race. Wow Gps shows pretty short race.

It was wet and very slick. Felt pretty strong, but it is still very hilly here.
But I beat this guy who always used to beat me in Milwaukee races by 4 seconds.

I tied my time from 2013 that was the course record.

Now waiting for the O meet next here.

Lapham Peak Orienteering meet. Finally started about 2.5 hours after the run. Fantastic course on some great terrain.
Woods were wet still and thick. My legs were tired so I just tried to go easy and not kill myself. Short control from 8-9, but ran the wrong spur and had to relocate. On the next control once again went to low to a depression instead of staying higher on a hill ( in the green) to approach the reentrant that was in the green. Not a big turnout for the event, possible because of the weather.
