Nordic ski trail since I could not groom Parkside today. Nordic ski area is only 45 miles from my house. They were out rolling some of the trail. I just followed the groomer until he made a 180 and I was skiiing in 4-5 inches of powder .
Mostly I followed the flat trails and they were soft and slow.
But the sun was out and temps were mild. Great first day of skiing.
My bad shoulder held up, so I should be good to go for another season!!

Well we were getting snow so I thought I would try out parkside for grass skiing.

Well this was my friend's sorta trail race. 6.5 miles or just 6.

I just used this as a hard workout for 6 miles. Well at 10k I knew we were a long way from the finish. The trail was knarly to say the least and single track for much of it. It was about 20 degrees and starting out we climbed a hill and that slowed my pace right down for the rest of the run. A few people did fall today from roots etc. I just wanted to enjoy and not get hurt.
He did have some good beers and chili after.

But I was supposed to meet Steve Wik and check out the snomo for grooming and cut a tree that fell on the trail. Well the snomo didn't start with what seemed like no juice from the battery. So grooming is gonna be that kind of year already and we are supposed to be gettin some serious snow tonight.
Maybe Monday the park machanic might get it fixed.
