Went to Nordic ski trail first time this year and it was great. Just a few rocks here ands there that were easy to avoid. 2nd best ski of the year after the Nokie. Now we are going to be hit with too much snow to get out today for skiing today maybe.

Race night at 3 degrees. No wind so it wasn’t too bad. Really didn't ski so fast, but since the guy in 3rd did not show up I move into third place for the series. Still have to show up next week as there is another guy who is 2 points behind me and all I have to do is beat him for a medal....whoo hoo.

Fresh snow at Parkside,, not grooming of course so we skied around mostly on the open fields grass. Not bad, but lots of work through the power. All places around have all this fresh snow that is too light and fluffy. This does not pack well for skiing.

Last minute decided last night to drive 2:15 today to race in Tampa at university South Florida?? Suncoast Orienteering Club has nice maps!
Very long 9.1k sprint on campus. A few bobbles but not much else. It was fun, quick and drove back to east coast right after.
Was going to do a 5k closer, but after yesterday’s lame run, Orienteering seemed like a much better activity.
No compass used either.

The sand was not firm like the west coast. Did not like it so much.
