Finally I decided to try to swim for 10 minutes after swimming 6 laps and my shoulder didn’t feel too bad, so I thought I’d try. The need for some therapeutic swimming is good even if it’s not in the warm ocean.

Back to Blueberry before heading home to beat the storm. Left about an hour too late, but it was not bad till later and ended up with about 8/9 inches sat Parkside.
This was about 7 degrees, damn I could wait to finish and warm up my toes and hands.
The grooming was fantastic and we had some untouched cord to ski on.
One loop on the skate trails, goal was to do 2,

Went the Al Quale trail and could not figure out the trail since I never really skied there. Ended up doing the Olympic Trail 5k backwards.
Well all I have to say this could not be a more tough trail at 10 degrees. The hills were relentless and since we were going backwards the turns were crazy tough and built skills needed for the Nokie.
After this I said let’s go somewhere more mello and warm up my frozen toes.

Back to the best trail in Marquette, has a volunteer built warming hut with a bathroom and woods stove!!!
Still cold as hell and my warm wax was bad for these conditions, think skiing in sandpaper. But we completed the whole skating loop.

Blueberry Ski Trail, fantastic skiing and conditions. Some debris on the trail, but nothing really. Logging my new skis as shoes so I can keep track of how much they are used.
Marquette Michigan know how to groom trails because they have something missing back home SNOW!!

Madnaess Race in the middle of Cap Saures. This map used to be so overgrown and thick etc.
But there has been a lot of restoration work I assume and it was pretty nice.
Except where I tried to go 100 meters of thick jungle. It was green on the map and I thought I might sneak through. Lost 10 minutes in sure.
There was about 5 inches of snow on the ground and that shows footsteps on some ideal routes. But there was some good places to read the map and navigate, that was awesome to be back in the woods running!!
