Crust skiing and some icy downhills, but wow Sweetie is doing awesome in her new sport.’
Parkside and unless we get some new snow the season is about dead there.

Fantastic day at Parkside skiing. Warm temps and new grooming to wipe out the footprints.
Foot post are easy enough to ski over. Just agonizing to see the disrespect in the few short hours we actually get to ski there. Of course we approve them to walk to the side of the groomed trail...but then there is just plain brain dead.
Chitowns donation ( the biggest) to fund the snowmobile and a super bud willing to use it has made the skiing great.

A few thin spots on the trail and warm temps are all that great at this point.

I’m ready for the Birkie, but in a more kicked back mode this year.

Classical Skiing warm up/down 30:30 intensity: (8 @0) + (14:51 @1) + (13:44 @2) + (1:47 @3) 1.26 mi (24:12 / mi)

Longest ski and distance this season one week before the 50k Birkie. Better late than none. I had good energy, maybe the best this year.

Parkside on our fresh grooming. Well lots of animal tracks and pile of guts next to the trail. Coyotes must be using the trails for their hunting delight.
Cold and slow skis. Should be better tomorrow and there is a good classical track. Gonna try that tomorrow too.
