Warm up before first leg, I was originally on 24th, but Anna Q felt a bit sick and left 1st leg to me instead. Nervous!
Orienteering race 49:40 [3] 6.75 km (7:21 / km)

Not feeling in form for a first leg. The start was crazy and very fast, so I felt straight away I didnt have the 100% power I needed. I did the best I can to keep the speed up in the beginning but was slow in uphills especially. Two mistakes towards the end where I probably lost some placings and most importantly time. Finished 11 minutes down I think - too much! So a bit dissappointed. But still happy enough to take on 1st leg when I wasnt really fit for it and at least finish without a complete disaster :)
BTW - I accidentally left my watch running for the rest of the day, until I left the arena at 18. Ended up walking almost 9 km when I was coaching in the change over and walking back and forth between there and the tent. Pretty interesting to see the gps lines!
