Kirby Moor loop clockwise. Saturated underfoot but just gloomy overhead.
Slightly longer finish than normal.
Managing to stagger through heather corner aka Gunson Height.

Bike out along coast road through Bardsea & Baycliff. Turn in towards Leece and back to Gleaston and then Urswicks and Swarthmoor. Into head wind to start and then seemed to be a mix of cross-winds.

With Rachel back through Urswicks & Gleaston motorway to Water Mill into the headwind.

Stop for coffee and tea cake.

Wainwrights walk. Started from Old Dungeon Gill in sunshine.
Up Pike O'Blisco in just over an hour then across to Cold Pike & Little Stand. Head north onto Crinkle Crags ridge taking in Bowfell (in 4hrs) and then Esk Pike. Cooler and some cloud on ridge.
Drop towards Esk Hause and turn back towards Angle Tarn. Short climb to Rosset Pike & return down to Rosset Gill - much new path. Drop into Mickleden for last miles down the valley where it became much warmer.

Wainwrights walk. Parking at Buttermere, start by skirting Crummock Water & Scale Force to climb Gale Fell.
Then main ridge walk to Great Bourne to start, then Starling Dodd, Red Pike, High Stile, High Crag and drop to Scarth Gap pass. Climb Haystacks and around to Dubs Bottom and climb of Fleetwith Pike. Felt tired into 6th hour during this climb and descent of the nose not very fluid.
Final walk alongside Buttermere back to the car.
