Orienteering 49:26 intensity: (9 @1) + (39 @2) + (25:42 @3) + (22:44 @4) + (12 @5) 2.47 mi (20:01 / mi) +127m 17:16 / mi
ahr:132 max:156 shoes: Ice Bug Acceleritas8

Helping on the start for 90mins before running.
May have contributed to completing messing up short leg to #1 by a couple of mins, and again towards the end of #3 cost another minute.
Got my act together after that on another stinking hot day, until a couple from home where the boulder had a large fallen tree across it.
Went within 5/10m, off to do a small loop, and saw it at second attempt. Binned another minute.
Overall felt frustrating, although some good navigation in bits.

LOC weekend - Long race - Holme Fell.
More like a middle race with 16 controls in 4km due to the number of enclosures. But top notch orienteering none the less on a warm day.
Lack of compass to #2 resulted in a minute error on a parallell feature, but started paying attention after that and kept spiking the controls :o). Happy days.

Wandering around Holme Fell - with the blessing of tomorrow's planner :o).

ahr:116 max:131 shoes: Hoka Mafete Speed 3

Trundle out from Broughton Beck, around to Lowick Common & return.
Lots of long wet grass in fields - only 1 field of inquisitive calves.
Legs felt wooden but kept plugging away. Right heel achey last mile or so. Back at end of February was 10 minutes slower for this loop.

Run 52:03 intensity: (18:01 @1) + (33:17 @2) + (45 @3) 3.43 mi (15:11 / mi) +47m 14:33 / mi
ahr:104 max:113 shoes: Hoka Kawana

Ultra slow jog down to Ropewalk, around to Sports Centre, up through Croftlands to Meeting House lane & back via Dipper. Drizzly rain but warm.
Left knee twinged a bit & right heel aware but no pain.

Car in garage for MOT.

Walk 4:49:00 intensity: (1:25:15 @1) + (2:11:21 @2) + (1:06:49 @3) + (3:16 @4) + (2:19 @5) 10.04 mi (28:47 / mi) +1097m 21:29 / mi
ahr:103 max:175 shoes: INOV8 - Mudclaw 300 blue

Park at Torver. Walk up nose of Old Man, along ridge to Swirl Howe. Cloud down to start but lifted as I gradually climbed. Stopped and put jacket & gloves on the ridge as chilly breeze.
Dropped from Swirl to Grey Friar col & then down valley to close to Seathwaite Tarn, before climbing back up to Dow col. Drop via Goats Water & back to Torver.

Right knee a bit twitchy on descent coming past Goats Water but not too grumbly on climbs.
HR spike after about 15mins on first incline and settled after couple of mins. Otherwise kept low & pace felt easy.
