tempo intevals in high park
set out to do 6, ended up doing 5 and a half. Started on the Rail path but encountered what can only be called a lake half way through the run so relocated to HP for the other intervals.
6x1k@4:20-4:25

interval times = 4:16, 4:22, 4:22, 4:22, 4:22,

Steady pace but HR was too high, bit of a fail on this workout, should have dialled it back a little bit. Conditions most likely made this a harder effort. First hard run since tapering so not all bad.

Melbourne marathon. Ran hard for 12k and then shut it down. No way was I going to be able to BQ given that it was 28 and 97% humidity at race start. Decided it was a smarter move to save my legs and go right back to training. No point blowing up the legs to put up a slow time.

Even in slowing it down the last 8k were brutal.... it was crazy hot.
