Cycling 3:20:00 [3]

Had a bit of a sore throat yesterday and felt a bit snotty today, but not too bad so set off on ride as planned. Rode through Bruce/O'Connor ridge towards federal hwy, then up hwy to the centenary trail and followed that to hall and back home. Didn't feel great for first 40 mins or so but then was fine. It was hot but I enjoyed it.

Body b class. Was great, one of my favourite mixes and lots of hamstring stretches.

Ran to work along the bike path to lake and the museum. Did "fartlek" - felt pretty average on the first interval but then better for the rest - did 1 x 7' (2' walk), 5 x 1' (1' float), 7', 1' jog, 2 x 30" (30"). Quite hot!

Really fun interval session on a beautiful morning with al and Shannon. Did 3 x {3', 2', 1', 30" (1')} on the usual Aranda loop. Felt good even though it was hard and I really enjoyed it! Foot ok once I warmed up, bit sore afterwards.

Did the old tempo special- 20 mins tempo on black mtn/Aranda loop. Legs felt pretty weary but I really enjoyed it. Average 4:55 min/km pace for tempo bit - the hill was really hard!

Run up my tenant with al and Kate starting from visitors Centre. Such a long way up! Al and I then did a loop around bush folds flat and back down. Lovely morning and nice run although I felt pretty tired for last hour and foot was sore. I love these saucony shoes but they seem to make my foot sorer. It was quite humid and I was very glad of water back pack.

Gossan hill loops with Shannon and Kathie. 3 loops at solid pace with 2' recovery- 8:00, 7:51 and 7:49. Pretty happy with those times, and felt like I was running well at good steady pace. Beautiful morning and really fun.

Awful run up blackies on my way home from work. Bit hot and I just struggled! It felt so hard and I didn't enjoy it at all. Slowest times ever! 5:42, 4:55, 6:45 (!). At least I didn't walk but I really wanted to!

Awful long run in 30+ degrees in middle of day. Felt awful! Ran with Shannon and Kathie which was nice but did not enjoy a minute of the run. Foot wasn't too bad though! Ran around Bruce ridge, lyneham ridge and black mtn.

Intervals with Shannon around black mtn/little black mtn loop. 5 x 1km (1' jog). Hard but fun, tried to keep a steady pace. Heel a bit sore but not too bad.

Long run with Shannon around arboretum and back via bottom of black mtn. Felt ok even though it was hot except for last half hour which was a struggle! Foot not too bad although sore afterwards.

Gungahlin park run. So fun! Tried hard to race for a pb and was very happy to get so close to 21 mins. Felt pretty good and pushed hard right to end. I had someone catch me with a km to go and he kept encouraging me on so that was quite good!

Intervals with Kathie and Shannon on the usual black mtn loop. Felt a bit weary but tried hard to push and ran steady. 6 x 3' (1') then 2' jog, 4 x 15" (45" walk). Pf is worse than ever and foot was so sore on jog home (but actually was fine while running ints).

Went to the gym and mainly did physio exercises and stretching to try to relieve pain in foot. So sore today I can hardly walk.

Tough session today - hills under power lines on Aranda with Shannon and al. 10 x 1' (approx) up with jog down. On last one, we walked down and ran as hard as possible. I felt sick! 58", 60", 56", 56", 57", 58", 57", 58", 56", 52"! Foot quite sore afterwards (heel, plantar fasciitis)
