Ints along the road from Poi’pu to spouting horn and back. Did pyramid (1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, 4x30”). Weren’t the fastest ever but so good to run hard! Loved it. Felt ok, niggles weren’t too bad.

Ran along flat road along beachfront at Poipu towards spouting horn and back. Felt much better today and niggles settling a little bit.

Run around Poipu coastline over towards the Hyatt and back. Felt little bit better but still sluggish and stiff at start. The grand Hyatt Poipu was incredible!

Run with Shannon in morning to make sure my niggles were sore for seeing Cathy! Felt bit crappy with my cold but not too bad, and leg was sore.

Saw Cathy today about my list of complaints. Diagnosis is that my back is a bit of a mess; really stiff and tight, with very tight hip flexors, causing pain in femoral nerve (what I felt as groin pain), putting pressure on my ol’ bunion causing ‘angry’ tendon in my big toe (hence that’s been so sore) and a swollen knee on the other side (my bung knee!). Cathy says important to sort it out or will get worse and risk a more serious injury. Have a list of exercises, stretches and things to do to help.

Long run with al in afternoon. Felt pretty terrible, very tired and sore, especially toe/bunion. Was planning 20k but cut it short. It was hot too and I wasn’t loving it!

Park run. Hard but fun! Leg was ok once I’d warmed up and had a bit of a battle with another girl which was fun. Pushed till end and was happy with my time.

Ran to work on bike path and did ints. Left leg didn’t feel great, groin is stiff and whole leg just feels ‘inhibited’. Wasn’t too bad once I warmed up but ints felt hard. Ran hard though and was tired by the end. Did 3 x{3’, 2’, 1’, 30”} all with 1’ recovery. New shoes felt good!

Last long run in daylesford. Ran around jubilee lake, down to lake daylesford, along goldfields track to Tipperary springs, Bryce’s flat and the blowhole, then back along road from Hepburn springs. Felt ok, niggles we’re actually pretty good.
