Went for an epic, but fantastic ride today! From home I headed on the bike path past lake g and followed the centenary trail out to Hall, then did the northern section which was fantastic, such fun tracks and beautiful views on a perfect sunny day, then once I hit Forde I rode back along Mulligan's flat road, gundaroo rd and home via bike path. It would've been perfect except for the fact that it took half an hour longer than I thought it would and I was already cutting it fine for school pick up, so I had to absolutely fang it for most of the ride. Quite fun actually except for the stress once I hit the bike path and had to time-trial it back to Aranda... loved it though!

Tough session this morning. Did ints on the oval - 8x 2' (1' jog) then 4x 45" (45" walk). I focussed on putting in a strong effort and it was so hard, it's been a tough week!

Body balance class. Was very gentle today as teacher was a bit sick so it was perfect for me! Nice stretches and felt much better afterwards.

Ints on way home from work. Ran on bike path and did 3km at 4:15 pace, 3' jog, then 2km at 4:45 pace (mostly up hill and had to stop for nature break!) then 2 x 1' (1' jog). It was so hard, especially the 2km one, I was completely stuffed! Felt exhausted.

Orienteering race 1:19:00 [4] 5.8 km (13:37 / km)

ACT Champs at the Gib. Was really fun, I enjoyed it much more than last year! Was hard to run so I was jogging/walking but kept pushing on even after a bit of a low patch at number 11 (I didn't really enjoying scrambling down a steep hill there!) but it was fun. Beautiful weather and fun to be out orienteering. I was really happy with my navigation and even though I lost a bit of time on some controls they weren't really too bad (didn't count as mistakes in my book). Thanks for the courses, Jase!

Really fun mountain bike ride around the classic black mtn loop (track was nicely graded and managed to ride all the way up the super steep hill, yay!) then I felt like a bit of an adventure so after I rode through Bruce ridge I started following the centenary trail. I lost the signs through the ais which was a bit annoying but after a couple of double backs and checking the map I got back on track and ride through gossan hill, around lake g and headed towards gunghalin, then turned onto the bike path through kaleen and home via north lyneham ridge and Bruce ridge. I was buggared by the end!

Ints around back of aranda bushland. 5 x 3' (1' jog) then 4 x 30" (1' walk). Met al but she didn't do the ints as not feeling well - normally I try to keep up with her so I probably didn't go as hard today without her to chase! I did enjoy it though and felt ok, just a bit leg tired.

Black mtn run up. Was hard work and I was disappointed in how slow I was despite feeling like I was going as hard as could. I'm not getting any younger I guess! Felt good to have done it but it was really tough.

Run in rain around black mtn (roller coaster track), over little black mtn and home via the dreaded hill in aranda bushland. Was quite fun despite rain and I felt ok, tried to push hard for last 10 mins.

City to surf. Didn't have a great sleep and woke up still feeling very snotty, but took some sudafed and Panadol and hoped for the best! Didn't actually feel too bad running and was able to run at a good steady pace and push it right to the end. Really fun! Nice morning for it - cloudy so not too hot. It was such a fun experience and amazing to be running with so many people for the whole 14km. Time went really fast and I was amazed as the km markers ticked by. Except for last km which was really tough! I was buggared! Also, my knee didn't hurt at all!

Ints on way home, ran home via bike path around lake. 8 x 2' (1' jog). Tough but quite fun and it was a lovely day for running. Knee had been feeling bit niggly but was fine when running so that was good.
