Cycling 2:00:00 [3]

Rode over to Majura and met susie for a ride round the new tracks. Very fun! Didn't have my mojo so some tracks were a bit tricky but other bits were great fun. I was freezing by the time I got home though, it was late afternoon and the temp outside ABC said 9 degrees.

Ha, finally cracked 22 mins for park run!! Didn't think it could be done... first time in a year or so. Actually was lacking motivation at the start and had a bit of a headache, but that turned out ok I think as I didn't start quite as hard as usual and was able to push the last 2 km. Passed a nemesis with about 1km to go, and had another guy to chase in my sight and pushed right to the end. Was very happy with that time!

Ints on the ways to work. Ran on fire trails down to bike path near old rani rd then once I crossed lady den man DVD I did ints on the bike path around black mtn peninsula to ANU. Did 15 x 45" (15"), approx 2' slow jog then 5 x 15" (45" jog). Pretty tough session as the breaks were so short! Fun though, I quite enjoyed it.

ACT long distance champs at Sandhills. Legs felt much better than yesterday as I set off. Took silly wide route choice on first control but tried hard to keep going despite not being super motivated. Came across Wendy read who had broken her wrist and walked with her and Julie back to the start. Decided I may as well head back up to top of hill to finish my course, but I was feeling really thirsty and made a few mistakes. Once I had a drink at number 5 I felt much better and managed the rest of course although can't say I really loved it! My foot is a bit sore too.

ACT middle distance champs at Sandhills. Made a few annoying mistakes and am hopeless at running in the terrain so didn't really love it. Legs feeling very weary.

Cycling 4:40:00 [3]

Long mountain bike ride with Susie from aranda through arboretum to stromlo, centenary trail all through red rocks gorge, Tuggeranong, up to wanniassa hills, isaacs ridege, mugga and then home on bike path from Parliament House. Was pretty windy so a bit tough going in parts, and I had a bit of a low patch after 2.5 hours but ate a power bar and felt much better. Was a pretty solid ride and I was glad to finally have a tailwind up aranda to home! According to Susie's garmin I think my ride would've been about 75km. Back was good though after it being a bit tight and sore during week. Fun!

Hills on run to work. Did 3 x the dreaded water bar hill from log at junction to fallen post at top. So hard! 3:56, 3:52, 3:56. Then did a surge on hill on single track from just past underpass to black mtn saddle (6'). Tough run but really good. Pretty tired but felt I was able to push hard.

Weight training at gym. Was not looking forward to it and was a bit tired and hungry but managed to get through session. I'm pretty tired now!

Ints on the ovals with al. Did 8 x 400m (approx - 1 lap of afl oval) and half a lap float. Legs were weary and it was tough! Bit of a struggle but made it. Watch froze so don't know times or how far I ran in total.

Road ride up black mtn x 3! Tough work. I wasn't very fast for any of them, but did each one in almost same time so at least consistent. Feeling very tired at the end of the day!

Park run. Perfect morning, bit cold but sunny and I felt really good, pushed hard the whole way but still couldn't crack 22 mins! Enjoyed it though, it was fun and I had a few people around me to race with.

Ran with Ross in the late afternoon to make training day into a long run. I was pretty tired and very glad I had company! Ran a few hills through Aranda/black mtn bushland. Really nice and glad I did it but I was pretty tired by the end.

Tough session on the way to work - ran through aranda and black mtn and did 4. x 4' (2' jog) from underpass up old weetangera rd and around little black mtn. Lots of hills! Felt ok though and ran hard, and really enjoyed it. Cold but beautiful morning.

Was too busy at work to get to the gym at lunch, so was feeling pretty tired by the end of the day but decided to go to body balance and was really glad I did as I felt much more relaxed afterwards.

Mothers Day Classic 10km - 2 laps of the bridge-to-bridge loop. It was SO windy! Lovely tail wind for first km, then either blowing a gale sideways or headwind. 4km-6km was ok and then back into the wind. Felt ok and ran a good pace that I good sustain. Was fun despite the wind, it's a really nice atmosphere at that event and I enjoyed racing.

Extremely slow jog around Gossan Hill to see if I felt ok running before tomorrow. Felt better than I expected I would, and managed a couple of run-throughs. Legs felt tired but otherwise I felt ok.

Went for such a nice run in the beautiful sunshine around black mtn. Did 20 mins tempo around little black mtn at just under 5 min pace (4:57) which was i was pretty happy with. Felt good and really enjoyed it!

Mountain bike ride from home to hall, did nthn centenary trail loop, goorooyaroo, to federal hwy then home via mitchell, nth lyneham, o'connor ridge and bike path. Really fun! Such a great trail.
