Running long 1:33:00 [3] 13.5 km (6:53 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Long run from Davos before we had to check out. Ran up a lovely path up a valley and back, through forest and little dairy farms. All very picturesque, even in rain! Bit sore from long walk yesterday but luckily it wasn't too steep today.

Running 49:00 [4] 6.3 km (7:47 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Tough run today up an absolutely beautiful walking track up a Swiss alp behind the youth hostel. So pretty but a tough run - 10 x 1' hill efforts with 1' jig. Returned home back same way down hill. Very fun and such a beautiful morning with clear blue skies and not hot.

Running 1:13:00 [3] 9.0 km (8:07 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Run from Riva del Garda up Monte Bione. Legs felt much better today. Was tough running (walking) up (lots of stairs) but amazing views and totally worth it. Rain overnight cleared the haze and I could see to end of lake, it was beautiful. Got a bit confused on way back but found my way without getting too lost fortunately! Very fun.

Running intervals 55:00 [4] 9.9 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Run from Riva del Garda along a lovely designated bike path towards Varone and back. Pretty leg weary from running in Megeve but did 4 x 1 mile (2' jog). Realised on return that bike path had been gently going up hill so at least was a bit quicker for final 2! Still was pretty slow, and it was hot even in the early morning. Great run though, really enjoyed it.

Running 1:01:00 [3] 7.6 km (8:02 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Awesome run today with Greg in Megeve before we all headed off. Went up the mountain on other side of valley to the top of a chairlift (le Jaillet). It was really steep and had to walk a bit but the view at the top was amazing!! Much clearer morning than last couple of days and we had spectacular views of Mont Blanc and alps. It was great! Almost as hard to run back down as up but much quicker!

Running 1:59:00 [3] 14.1 km (8:26 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Set off with Greg on another run from Megeve trying again to find track up the mountain that Jase had gone up yesterday. Took a wrong turn and ended up on track that we'd actually been looking for yesterday! Greg headed back but I kept running, wanting to do a longer run today and still hoping to find forest mountain trail. After running back down to Megeve, narrowly escaping being hit by a car (very scary) and getting lost, I finally found the lovely yet very steep track!! By this time I didn't really have inclination to run all the way to the top (would've been very long!) but went part way up and it was steep but very nice. Bit of an epic but fun.

Running 1:05:00 [3] 9.5 km (6:51 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Ran with Greg from Megeve in the rain. Couldn't find the trail we were looking for but still had a really nice run in the beautiful alpine villages.

Running intervals 55:00 [5] 9.9 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Intervals on the lovely walking/bike path around Beaune. So nice and pretty and intervals were really fun -did 3 x {3' (1'), 2' (1'), 1' (1'), 30" (1')}. Few niggles (foot and back) but otherwise good!

Running 30:00 [2] 4.7 km (6:23 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Easy run around town we are staying in tonight (Beaune). Really nice even though it was still over 30 degrees. There's a lovely path around the old town Centre which was nice and shady. Good to run after a couple of days off.

Running 1:00:00 [4] 10.6 km (5:40 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Ran to park in between Louvre and Place de la Concorde and did intervals doing laps of the park. Did a 35 minute fartlek session. Pretty slow and bit tired from all our walking and sight seeing, and foot sore afterwards :(.

Running 56:00 [3] 10.2 km (5:29 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Run from apartment in Paris to the Seine to do some intervals. Planned 3km, 2km, 1km with rest in between but intervals were pretty broken by traffic lights and road crossings. Pretty amazing views along the river even though wasn't greatest run ever.

Running 52:00 [3] 9.6 km (5:25 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Lovely early morning run in Windsor. Found a grassy park and did 10 x 2' (1'). Felt pretty weary when I started but not too bad for the ints, and managed pretty consistent pace 4:11 min/km to 4:18 on slowest). Last 2 were the quickest which was good as I was trying extra hard on those! Nice run.

Running 1:45:00 [3] 15.6 km (6:44 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Ran from fish's place in Lubenham around some fields to a canal, along the canal and back through more fields. Lovely and scenic and really nice, except for how many times I got lost! I had a bit of trouble following the public footpaths through the fields so had a few detours through paddocks of wheat etc, so was very glad to get to the canal. Then on way back I really took a wrong turn and ended up on a road running in the wrong direction, but fortunately didn't run more than a km before realizing it wasn't quite right. I was very tired by the time I got back! Hurray for the lovely lunch fish cooked for us.

Running race 22:00 [5] 5.0 km (4:24 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Park run at Southwark park, London. Jogged over from our apartment to park run in a beautiful London park. Very flat but lots of turns, and course was 3 laps of the park it was "second Saturday pacer day" or something so there were people pacing a few different times. I was just ahead of the 22min pace guy (only just though, I could hear him) and did 7:10 for first lap, 7:15 for second lap, then on third lap he caught me and I ran hard to stay with him to end. Last lap was 7:35 so but slower but also you had to run bit further up the finish funnel. Was happy to do 22 mins given that it was a big week of travel and walking, but would've liked to break 22 minutes!! Really fun, I enjoyed being a "park run tourist"

Running 50:00 [3] 7.6 km (6:35 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Ran to and from park run from our apartment to Southwark park. I only got lost once!

Running 54:00 [2] 8.5 km (6:21 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Went for slow easy jog from apartment in London. Felt pretty crappy to start with but so good to be out for a run. It was pretty amazing and saw so many icons- ran over Westminster bridge, saw Big Ben, Westminster, Westminster abbey, through St James park to buckingham palace and back. Bit stop/start-y with lots of road crossings and getting a bit lost at one stage but I enjoyed it.

Running long 2:12:00 [3] 21.7 km (6:05 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine

Long run with Shannon on a beautiful, frosty (and cold) morning. We ran up to the birds nest at the arboretum and home past the zoo and through black mtn. Really nice!

Running intervals 1:03:00 [4] 10.6 km (5:57 / km)
shoes: Saucony peregrine 2

Went for a run before lunch in the lovely sunshine. Inaugral "aranda special"; warm up to gossan hill, 1 standard gossan hill loop (8:10 - slow! wasn't concentrating in first half) jog to south end of red bridge, then red bridge to aranda hill summit (9:06), down under power line then 4 x 1' hills up track under power line (1', 1', 59", 1') with jog back down. Tough and fun!
