Long mountain bike ride from Daylesford. Headed south past Jubilee Lake through Wombat State forest to Farm Rd then Camp Rd to Bullarto, then north loop to Glenlyon and home pretty much on the road. Was a bit weary and it was long but glad I went in the end.

Tried an easy 20 min jog today and had been hopeful that hamstring tendon wouldn't hurt as it's been feeling better in general, but only lasted 10 mins as feeling too sore. :(

Swam 2km at greensborough pool. Was looking forward to going in a 50m pool for a change but as I arrived they were setting it up to short course! Tiring, had a sore arm by the end.

Ride for about 2.5 hours along the main yarra trail. Did a bit of single track but was pretty slow and scared of snakes. Rode hard on the bike path bits. Really nice.

Note

Ultrasound on my hamstring tendon today and found out that I've torn one of the tendons. Does explain why it's so sore all the time! No running for a couple of weeks then a very slow 3-4 month gradual return to running. Poop, but kind of glad to know what's going on and have a plan.

Saw Cathy about hammy. Apparently I've overdone things (!) and so now lots of the pain is from back/neural issues. She loosened up my back and I felt quite a lot better after that, have more exercises to do and hopefully all going to be ok.

Great fun mountain bike ride - met Cathy in Dickson then rode the centenary trail to Hall and home. Cathy had to be home so couldn't ride all the way with me but it was really fun. Glute very sore afterwards though from sitting on saddle!

Met Shannon and Cassie to do ints on the ovals but glute was too sore to run so I jogged and walked instead. Not very fun.
