Mountain bike ride with Cathy at stromlo. Really fun! I'm a bit out of practice with the technical stuff but it was great.

Goorooyaroo half marathon. Was a pretty cold morning and got changed twice before the start - from short sleeves to long then back to short (good choice in the end!) but once I got going it was fine. Nice sunny morning, undulating but not too hilly course on good fire trails. Felt good and better than I was expecting too after big week of training and gardening and was able to race at a good pace. Approx splits were 33mins at 7km, 48mins at 10km, 68 mins at 14km (I.e. the time Marty dent was crossing the finish line!). Foot was a bit sore, not too bad but probably time to get the ultrasound Cathy suggested. Anyway, all in all it was a good run, very pretty with a view of the snow on the hills and nice woodland, and I was pleased with my time. No idea how I'm going to go twice as far in 8 weeks though!!

Taper session on the ovals with al before the half marathon on saturday - 4 x 1' (1' jog) then 8 x 30" (30" jog). Felt pretty tired!

Long run in the sunshine (although still very cold after a -6 degrees start to the day). I am loving this holiday from work :). Ran through gossan hill, Bruce ridge and old stomping ground of O'Connor ridge, home round back of aranda hill. Very nice but bit tired by the end.

Black mtn run up. As hard as ever! Was a bit slower today, I think maybe I didn't go as hard at the start, or who knows!

Ran to and from Black mtn run up - from home to start (30 mins) then summit to home (25 mins). Lovely day! I love being on holidays :)

Recovery run around (and over) aranda hill. Didn't mean to go for that long and felt pretty bad at the start but felt a bit better by the end. Legs were a bit weary.
