Canberra Times fun run 10km. After a not-great week leading up, I felt really good! Was a bit worried about chesty-cough but it was fine, back was fine and knee doesn't even rate a mention!! Set off at a good pace, maybe a bit too fast for first 2km but felt good, and kept pushing all the way. Was so happy with my time given my training for the year! Super happy with knee and so good to run in a race again. Yay! My goal was to get through pain-free, and I thought if I could do 45 mins that would be an extra achievement so I am pleased.

Went for a very easy jog just to test out the old back. After a few days of anti-inflams and some gentle exercises it feels much better, and was ok on the run. It almost felt better afterwards! Have a slight chesty cough feeling but i'm sure i'm being a hyperchondriac pre-race as per usual!

Rode to work. Back felt a bit tight.

Decided to catch bus home and go for a swim instead. 20 laps and back felt fine.

Back bit sore but way better than on Tuesday night but definitely not up to running, so went for a swim instead.

Rode to and from work very slowly. After some physio this morning back is feeling slightly better, and nothing too serious but might take a bit to settle down.

Ran at lunch with Susie. Back had been a bit sore and hurt during the run, but afterwards it was really bad! Anti-inflams, some kind of heat patch and some stretches which did seem to help but it is really sore.

Exercises/Stretches/Gym 15:00 [2]

Went to body balance thinking some nice stretching and exercises would be good for my back but instead it became so painful that I had to leave after 15 mins and go home and lie down. Feel very sad as I was really looking forward to running the CT fun run on Saturday after all the knee stuff, and now I can hardly walk! Hopefully it will settle down ok...
