Cycling long 3:00:00 [3]

3 hour mountain bike XC race at sparrow/east kowen. It was awful!! I wasn't really pumped to start and it was freezing (hands were numb for first lap) but I never really got into it. Didn't love the mud and just struggled the whole way. I considered pulling out during 2nd lap but couldn't do it. Made a deal with myself that if I kept going I could stop after 4 laps instead of 5 (calculated I'd finish 4 laps at about 2:50), but I was so slow on last lap that I finished at exactly 3 hours and didn't have to do another lap anyway!

XC race at black Mtn peninsula- out and back x 2 on bike path towards yarramundi reach. Tried to start off steady and felt like I was going ok. Did first 4km in just under 18 mins and tried to keep that pace till 6km with plan to push it bit harder last 2km, but couldn't quite pull it off. I was stuffed! Was happy to not slow too much in second half though. Ran with Kate v but couldn't quite keep with her for last 2k. Foot a bit sore today, and got quite sore later in the day. Annoying, as I felt like it was improving. By the way my watch said course was 8.29km!

Last day in Noosa so had to head out for a final run in the national park. Just did an easy/slow run up and around Noosa hill. My knee has been really good with all my running but my foot a little bit tender today after having been feeling good. Lovely morning run, am not looking forward to going back to cold canberra!

Ran on bike path through noosaville and around lake (out and back). Did mixed up monas: 1 x 90", 2 x 60", 2 x 30", 4 x 15", 2 x 30", 2 x 60", 1 x 90" with equal rest. Tried to keep recovery as a 'float' but it was definitely closer to a jog towards the end. Tried hard to maintain good pace and technique. Lovely morning and nice and flat!
